This Health Research Program opportunity is with Dr. Abhijit Deb Roy, Center for Cell Analysis and Modeling and Cell Biology.
Project Description: We are interested in interactions between different cytoskeleton (actin, microtubules and intermediate filaments) in cell motility. We apply molecular cloning, advanced fluorescent live cell imaging modalities and synthetic biology approaches to examine the molecular cross-talk between these cytoskeletal entities. Students working in our lab will learn to perform molecular biology techniques, mammalian cell culture, live cell microscopy and working with synthetic biology molecular tools to address fundamental questions in biological and biomedical context.
