DOE: Integrated Computational and Data Infrastructure for Scientific Discovery (ICDI)

The Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) is pleased to announce this limited submission funding opportunity/award.  Limited submission programs allow only a select number of applicants from each institution.  In order to determine which PIs will be selected as the official applicants from UConn/UConn Health, an OVPR internal competition may be necessary (full process is described at our website).  

All PIs who wish to be considered for this opportunity must submit a notification of intent to submit form through the UConn Quest Portal by the due date listed below.  PIs must be selected and approved by the OVPR to be eligible to submit to this sponsor.

Award Details: between $100,000 and $2M per year for 3 years.Award amounts vary based on topic and number of investigators. Applications requesting more or less than the award floor or ceiling will be disqualified without review.  See DOE solicitation for details.

Number of UConn Applicants: up to 3 applications from UConn and from UConn Health.  Application limit includes both applications where UConn is lead or collaborator.

Internal Notification of Intent Deadline: Friday, March 26, 2021 by 12PM

Sponsor Letter of Intent Deadline (required): Friday, April 2, 2021 by 5PM EST

Sponsor Full Proposal Deadline:  Friday, May 14, 2021 by 5pm EST

Additional information:  Due to the extremely short turnaround time, submission slots will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.  We encourage faculty teams to collaborate so that all interested groups can participate.
