2022 W.M. Keck Foundation Research Program

The Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) is pleased to announce this limited submission funding opportunity/award.  Limited submission programs allow only a select number of applicants from each institution.  In order to determine which PIs will be selected as the official applicants from UConn/UConn Health, an OVPR internal competition may be necessary (full process is described at our website).

All PIs who wish to be considered for this opportunity must submit a notification of intent to submit form through the UConn Quest Portal by the due date listed below.  PIs must be selected and approved by the OVPR to be eligible to submit to this sponsor.

Additional information:  All NOI submitters must also submit a concept paper by the deadline above. We strongly encourage applicants to read about the foundation’s funding priorities and to review the OVPR’s funder analysis report before submitting. See Keck foundation website for important info on concept papers.  We also recommend that applicants append to their 1-page concept paper excerpts from NSF/NIH panel reviews indicating that the proposed project is unconventional / high-risk and that federal funding is highly unlikely. This will be the only call for concept papers for the 2019-2020 academic year.
