This funding opportunity supports faculty travel to conferences for the primary purpose of engaging with industry partners and exploring potential collaborations aligned with your research. Funding is intended to facilitate meaningful conversations that may lead to sponsored research, partnerships, or other forms of industry engagement. 

Applicants may request up to $3,000 in reimbursement for conference-related expenses. Funding is provided on a reimbursement basis following conference attendance and is contingent upon participation in pre- and post-conference requirements designed to maximize the impact of these engagements.

Eligibility

• Be attending a conference with the explicit goal of meeting with industry representatives and exploring potential partnerships
• Submit (or be prepared to submit) a list of companies they plan to engage with at the conference
• Be willing to develop and/or share materials (e.g., pitch deck, one-pager) in consultation with OVPR in advance of the conference
• Confirm they have reviewed relevant guidance (e.g., “Doing Business with UConn” materials) prior to travel
• Attend a credible, established conference with clear industry relevance

• Recipients are required to submit a brief post-conference summary of meetings and outcomes
