Honors students file a Preliminary Plan of Study (called Honors Plan) in their third year or when applying to the program as a rising junior, and then they update their original Honors Plan to submit as their Final Plan of Study the semester prior to graduation. Both forms represent an agreement among the student, their Honors advisor(s), and the Honors Program on how the student will meet curricular and co-curricular graduation requirements.
Click the Apply button in the upper right to begin your Honors Plan.
To successfully complete your Honors Plan (preliminary stage), you must first meet with an Honors advisor in your major to discuss your plans for completing the Honors Scholar in the Major requirements or University Honors Laureate (including Honors Scholar) with your advisor before submitting the form. This includes your Honors coursework in your major and related subjects, your Honors thesis work, as well as the Engagement in the Major Field requirement.
If you have any questions about the Honors Plan process or encounter issues using the forms, contact honors@uconn.edu.
