This application is for current UConn students or transfer students who have been admitted to UConn and are interested in applying to join the Honors Program at the University of Connecticut for admission as sophomores or juniors. Minimum Criteria for Honors Admission as a Sophomore:
- Enrollment as an undergraduate at UConn upon entry to Honors.
- Graduating in more than two years from anticipated entry point to Honors.
- At least 12 earned credits (taken at UConn or another institution of higher education) for entry to Honors in next fall semester.
- Cumulative GPA of at least 3.400 to apply.
- If transfer student – Cumulative GPA of at least 3.400 at previous institution with transfer transcript sent via secure electronic transfer to honors@uconn.edu is required.
Minimum Criteria for Honors Admission as a Junior:
- Enrollment as an undergraduate at UConn in intended Honors Major upon entry to Honors.
- Graduating in four semesters or less from anticipated point of entry to Honors.
- At least 54 earned credits (taken at UConn or another institution of higher education) by anticipated entry to Honors.
- Cumulative GPA of at least 3.400.
- If transfer student – Cumulative GPA of at least 3.400 at previous institution with transfer transcript sent via secure electronic transfer to honors@uconn.edu is required.
- An APPROVED Honors Plan, https://honors.uconn.edu/preliminary-plan-of-study/student/.
