Description

This application is for current or transfer students interested in applying to join the Honors Program at the University of Connecticut for admission as sophomores or juniors. Here is a link to our application timeline which is based on your credit standing and intended year of graduation, https://honors.uconn.edu/admission/application-timeline/.

Minimum Criteria for Honors Admission as a Sophomore:

  • Enrollment as an undergraduate at UConn is required
  • Graduating in 3 years
  • 24 credits/two semesters (taken at UConn or another institution of higher education)
  • Cumulative GPA of at least 3.40 to apply
  • If transfer student – Cumulative GPA of at least 3.40 at previous institution with transfer transcript

Minimum Criteria for Honors Admission as a Junior:

  • Enrollment as an undergraduate at UConn in intended Honors Major is required
  • Graduating in 2 years or less
  • 54 credits/four semesters (taken at UConn or another institution of higher education)
  • Cumulative GPA of at least 3.40
  • If transfer student – Cumulative GPA of at least 3.40 at previous institution with transfer transcript
