OUR Conference Presentation Awards 2020-21
Opens Sep 4 2020 09:00 AM (EDT)
Deadline Apr 12 2021 07:00 AM (EDT)
Description

Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) Conference Presentation Awards provide up to $500 to undergraduate students engaged in research or creative projects who have the opportunity to present their research or creative project at a regional, national, or international conference. Students may use these awards to pay for conference registration and for travel expenses (meals, travel, parking, and lodging), where permitted by University policy. All domestic and international travel outside the state of Connecticut is currently suspended, so registration costs and in-state travel costs are the only expenses currently allowable under this program.

OUR Conference Presentation Awards are available to full-time undergraduate students pursing a bachelor's degree in all majors at all UConn campuses. Part-time students may apply for these awards if they have completed at least 60 academic credits (including at least 12 credits at UConn) and have a minimum UConn cumulative GPA of 2.8 or better. Travel associated with this award must be completed before the student graduates from their bachelor's degree program.

For full eligibility requirements, visit https://ugradresearch.uconn.edu/conference-awards/.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and awards are made until funds are exhausted. Funding for this program, which is intended to support students across the university, is limited. Multiple students applying for support for the same project or presentation may receive smaller awards. Students who have previously received support from OUR for their projects may receive smaller awards or lower priority for funding.

Submissions to this program are made via a third-party software application, SurveyMonkey Apply.  The terms of use and privacy statements for this software apply to your use of it and to the information you provide in your application.  Before proceeding with your submission, please review their terms and privacy statements linked below.
