UNIV 1784 Facilitator Application

Description

Each UNIV 1784 section is co-taught by upper-division Honors facilitators, typically sophomores. During the prior spring semester, prospective facilitators enroll in EGEN 3200 (3 credits, Honors) to learn about facilitation, peer mentorship, and student development. In the fall semester, facilitators enroll in EGEN 3092 (3 credits, Honors) for support during their UNIV 1784 facilitation experience.

Complete this application to be considered for placement in EGEN 3200. Applications will be reviewed over winter break, and GPA and conduct checks will be completed for all applicants. Eligibility is contingent on completion of UNIV 1784 prior to the beginning of spring semester.

Applications are due by 11:59 PM on Sunday, December 10. (December 20 for UConn Stamford students.) As part of your application, you will request a recommendation from one of your UNIV 1784 facilitators. If you are not currently enrolled in UNIV 1784, you may choose to request a recommendation from a UConn faculty or staff member instead.

Students who are selected will be notified in January and provided a permission number to enroll in EGEN 3200.
